Good luck! :-)
This is awesome!! Thank you
Thank you!
I've been trying to find this tune for years, do you know the name and where to find it?
It's from the Bradley Brothers Irish Dance World album, track 11. The cd says Kevin's Celtic Chasm and Frances O'Rourke's for the track
MELINA FROM GREECE!
me trying to learn dance like Niall while listening act my age
SAME 💀
thx for the helpful video I'm getting better at it
I like the one that looks like you are shaking a bug off your shoe, doesn't touch the ground. What is the name of that move?
Haha, that's a great description. Are you talking about something from this video or something you've seen elsewhere? Irish dance is unusual because there isn't really a unified terminology for different moves, it varies by teacher. For example, shuffles can also be called trebles, batters, and rallies. Are you talking about the one at the beginning of this? ruclips.net/video/cGfJUusS7Uk/видео.html. I've heard them called flicks, fishtails, and windshield wipers, but I'm sure there are more names!
👁️👄👁️
His terrific supplement to my Online Irish Dancing lessons. Thank you so much!
mad sweeney kicks ass
When I did it we ruined the ground..(I’m a professional Irish Dancer too)
Haha, yeah, we've definitely caused some damage :-)
Thank you, very helpful❤
Did you know that that battle, the Battle of Magh Rath (Moira) happened in County Donegal, Not County Down? So Suibhne went mad in Donegal.
Thank you for sharing!
witch one do i do?
I love your videos! Thanks for showcasing your creative steps!
Thank you!
ALWAYS, when teaching dance steps in line dance form, the teacher should face the same way as the student. Much harder to learn dance steps when the teacher is facing students. Whatever the student sees, the opposite has to be done. Makes learning very difficult.
A good set of basics :) Thank you
Beautiful, thank you 🙏🏼❤️☘️
thank you so much
Im part irish and i love Irish dances but i never really understand how to do the dances, thank you for teaching me
It's a great video but I look like an idiot so that's on me Thanks though
Thank u so much for the vid. I don't go to a class or have a group. I dance by myself because I love it and it's nice to learn some basics.
thank u so much, I'm from Argentina and I want to learn this beautiful dance but I didn't found any video that explains the process like yours 💚
Wondering the name of this song? :)
The music is from the Bradley Brothers album, "Irish Dance World"
how come they don't move their arms?
No one knows for sure, but there are several hypotheses. One is that if the British saw them from the windows, it wouldn't look like they were dancing if their arms were down. Another is that it had to do with how they were holding their skirts/clothing out of the way of their feet and when the clothing changed with time, the arm position stayed. The rigidity became exaggerated once competitions became more popular.
i could tell the guy in the white was advanced from just the way he travelled lmao
I am trying Irish step dance in a couple of months, and being in middle school with no experience in this type of dance at all, I’m a bit intimidated but also very excited to try something new :))
Thank's For The vid! I Do I rish Dancing But Stopped For A Few mionth's i've Forgotten The Dances i Know Horn Pipe Good But This Helped me Memorise The Danc'e's
The same thing happened to me I started it when I was 2 and continued for a while, took a break for like 3 years and now I've come back to it, I've forgotten EVERYTHING!!! this video helped me remember, I'm grateful.
Awesome! What’s the music!
It's from the Bradley Brothers' album Irish Dance World
Thanx for sharing

I love this thank you I posted on FB and maybe some folks will try it with me!
Thank you! I'm going to use it to teach my high school students here in Spain, for the event "danzas del mundo".
Ash Dig dances of the world?
The "point switch point" one, we call Chops
lol jokes no we dont :P thats something else lol
Ok now I know how to do it
Great job, very very very helpful.. Thanks dear.
Me ha ayudado bastante... gracias por compartir!!!👍😊
I like the point one but for the one just before I keep moving backwards and almost crashed into the kitchen bench. I'm thinking practice is needed. Can we get another vid with some spoken explanation and some rhythmic step videos too? I like this, it's simple enough for raw beginners like me. 😊
When you're doing point hop backs, you'll want to make sure that when you're hopping your front foot to the back that you're not going anywhere. It sounds like you're travelling backwards in the air every time you hop. When you bring your foot back, you want to go straight up into the air, without leaping forward or backward (like you do when you jump rope). To get the sense of this, you can try this on a small door mat, making sure that you stay on the mat without touching the surrounding floor. I hope that helps a little!
Really helpful! Thank you!
amazing it's helps me learn
This video was very helpful, thank you and keep up the good work 🤗🤗
I love Ireland because ppl there are so cool they have interesting music, cool dances, they have the best accents and much more. I found out im a part irish wich is cool
Are you from America or Ireland? If you're not from Ireland, say you're Irish-American otherwise people think you're dumb. Trust me, we get tourists all the time saying that they're Irish, it's quite annoying.
NICEEEE
Everyone is a bit irish.
Is it weird that I've always done these just instinctually? I grew up in New York with almost no Irish influence (except my blood) but whenever I hear Irish music I just naturally do this. . . I clicked on this video hoping to learn how to dance properly . . . I guess I just practice my form now!!! XD I'm not trying to brag I just find it a bit uncanny.
Raray Saya it’s not weird because I was the same way, I started doing it as a joke to mess with my sister and she was stunned and said wait when did you learn that? I said I didn’t lol
Exactly! I'm only party Irish by blood. I live in Texas, but when music comes on, I suddenly know all these moves! Idk how, because I've had no training or lessons! :O
Now maybe I won't look like a dying fish on land anymore. I'll be a dying fish... with style! Thanks for the video!
This music will never age and thanks for help .....I found it :-). Irish Dance World album is impossible to purchase however it exists here ...on RUclips.... I watched all IrishDanceisFun videos and to bad as it has little openings. Most likely due to the fact it is very hard to find it. The idea of educational videos was always fantastic and your videos are good and easy to follow. Thank you. Good luck with your work.
that was the best tutorial ive ever seen thanks
Great stuff! What is the music artist used in the video?
Thanks! The music is from the Bradley Brothers' album, Irish Dance World. I think it was published in 1999.
Very good educational video for beginners :-). Glad I found this. Who plays tunes to reel 1 and reel 2? I was unable to find out as I went thru great number of reels in iTunes. Pls help. Good luck to your troupe :-).
Thanks! Those tunes are from the album "Irish Dance World" by the Bradley Brothers. I think it came out in 1999, so it's pretty old :-)
